Building systems that deliver housing, safety, and resilience.

Our purpose is simple:

to help communities build stronger, safer, and more equitable systems.

N

Accountable:

We align local strategies with federal expectations, ensuring communities can secure resources and demonstrate results.

Effective:

We design practical, tailored solutions — from housing needs assessments to community safety and disaster preparedness — and refine them step by step to stay relevant and results-driven.

Compassionate:

We keep dignity and equity at the center, so systems serve people while strengthening community trust.

At Viam Advising, we bring both heart and rigor. Our process is adaptive: we test, listen, and adjust as projects evolve, ensuring solutions fit the unique needs of each community.

What We’re Hearing

Here’s what Erin Read, Executive Director of Knoxville-Knox County Office of Housing Stability, had to say about working with us:

When we started working with Viam, our CoC was in a very tough place: it needed to be restructured, but there was heated disagreement about how it should look and where the lines of authority should lie. Viam was able to bring all the voices together into one conversation and chart a course that kept us in compliance with HUD requirements while making our CoC more functional and efficient. With Viam’s support, CoC partners are working together toward a common goal.

Bruce Spangler, President of the Knoxville Knox County Homeless Coalition, celebrated collaborating with Viam Advising to restructure their CoC's governing body:

It was a joy to work with Jonathan and Ana! I would recommend using Viam Advising without reservation!

City Council considers homeless management options

“Viam Advising, one of the city of Sedona’s homelessness consultants, addresses the Sedona City Council during its Jan. 29 meeting to consider its homelessness strategy.”

Council looks at options to move visible homeless elsewhere

“Danforth and White then forecast a 6% per year increase in homelessness in the Verde Valley over the next five years based on historical rates of increase within Yavapai County, which they predicted would bring the total number of homeless people in the Verde Valley to 800.”
